How can AI help school leaders free time and focus on what matters? In this episode of Skolledarkvarten we explore AI's fast development and its impact on schools, with insights from Micke Kring.
When Peter Kurzwelly invited me to AI Sweden Podcast, the chat took off, focusing on 25 years of digitalization in schools — from the Commodore 64 to how generative AI can reshape learning.
Curious how generative AI can be used in schools? Livslångt lärande at RISE has a free 25‑minute intro film on AI, ChatGPT and legal/ethical issues—ideal to spark discussion at your next unit meeting.
Last week I got to hang out with Johan and Fredrik and talk about digitalization in schools, AI, and much more. If you have a bit of time, check out the conversation below!
This week I guested on Spelfokus to discuss using games as tools in school, sharing examples from Årstaskolan, like project “Sista Bossen,” and how game methodology makes learning easier and more fun.
Now between jobs, I want to share three things I'd have kept working on at Årstaskolan: tackling post‑pandemic absence, dropping grades as the sole quality measure, and clearer digitalisation.
During the pandemic we needed better tracking of student absence. I automated it with a script that downloads reports, processes the data and presents near-real-time stats on a webpage.
In this third part of the series on AI teaching for primary school, we show how to train your own machine learning model. We teach the computer to tell images of a Dalek from a Stormtrooper—or other things like thumbs up/down or dolls.
Part two of our AI series for primary school builds a simple voice assistant like Alexa or Siri — when we say “Hej Datamicke” it asks how it can help, and we've taught it to tell the time, perfect to adapt for your lessons!
Part of our AI series for primary school, this focuses on machine learning (ML) for tech and math—students already use ML like Siri or social filters; here we make a Scratch face filter with ML.
Grading lead: review 6,500 grades—or do it with one click? A script automates gradebook checks & analysis: saves time & boosts accuracy, flags errors, gives stats & overview incl. nat. tests & abs.
